Web Developer / Web Database Programmer (Consultant)

We are currently looking for an independent contractor with 1 to 5 years of experience in developing websites and creating databases for the web. This position is ideal for anybody who is currently a freelancer/contractor. Ideally consultant will be located in the Western New York or Boston area to allow for in-person collaboration as needed, though this is a telecommute position. Typical work hours range from 10 to 40 hours per week.
Job Description:
The contractor will be responsible for building and maintaining web sites, creating web applications, building online database-driven applications, maintenance on internal database-driven products and some web and user interface design work. Any work done by the contractor must meet Internet standards, be compatible with the most commonly used browsers, be highly stable, offer flexibility, be easily maintainable by any other contractors, and always meet a high level of quality assurance.

Technology Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree
- 1 to 5 years experience in creating databases for the web & basic web development
- Excellent customer service experience
- Proficient in the following programming languages:
PHP, MySQL, AJAX, C#, XML, XSL, HTML, DHTML, JavaScript, SQL,COM, Visual Basic 5.0 and 6.0, Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), ActiveX. - Knowledge on ASP.NET, ASP, VBScript, and ColdFusion a plus
- Proficient in Dreamweaver and Photoshop
- Knowledge of mobile technology
